Talking Newspaper Subscription Database
Another application founded on our dataspace technology, the Subscription Database was developed for the West Shropshire Talking Newspaper for the Blind.
Situation
The Shrewsbury based charity West Shropshire Talking Newspaper were looking for an IT solution to manage the increasingly difficult task of despatching audio cassettes and CDs to their five hundred strong listenership.
The new system need to make efficient use of the audio tape stock, but above all, it needed to be easy to operate for the charity's team of volunteers.
Solution

Idonix developed a
dataspace application comprising two Windows clients and SQL Server's "baby brother", MSDE. The primary interface is a regular dataspace "browser", targeted at the organisation's membership secretary, and the second is large and clear with barcode integration and auditory cues, and manages the despatch and returns procedures.
