Ignition Social at NAB 2018

SHROPSHIRE, UK ― 29th March 2018 ― Idonix, the data, workflow and graphics specialists will be at NAB this year on the Ross Booth SL3305. We will be showing our Ignition graphics automation system driving Ross XPression, and running Ignition Social with data and sentiment analysis coming directly from Microsoft Azure.

With interesting US mid term elections due this year Ross will be showing their Xpression Tessera multi display real time graphics designer/controller for studio video walls. There will be a touch screen driven US map populated with data, with drill down to specific states and analysis of current social media sentiment powered by Idonix.

Ignition is a graphics authoring and playout system for journalists and producers - perfect for people who aren’t used to operating graphics systems. It provides a fluid and highly intuitive interface that allows users to analyse and search data, stack graphics and play them out live quickly and easily. Our integration with XPression makes this cutting edge real-time motion graphics engine from Ross Video® available to all our clients.

Ignition Social is a new development. In addition to selecting and airing individual social media posts using our powerful querying and moderation tools, you can now include sentiment visualisation across easily defined content sets. Powered by Microsoft Azure’s text analytics platform, we support English, French, Portuguese and Spanish, with many other languages on the roadmap.

Ignition implementations can be quickly built using industry standard tooling and has been in use with BBC News for their election programs for the last 15 years. Idonix takes the pain out of complex data driven graphics projects making it easier for stories to be told without technology getting in the way.
