US Election With The BBC

August 2012

The forthcoming US elections are in the forefront of our minds as we move towards our next project for the BBC. As usual the graphics being built are exciting and challenging with everything moving towards the big night in November. With complex animations and transition logic involved we will be using our new IGNITION software to manage the data and workflow allowing the journalists to play out graphics on air via Viz.

BBC Election Graphics Contract

January 2012

BBC News awards Idonix a long term contract for the provision of real-time election graphics and automation systems. With a service centred around the soon to be launched Ignition automation system and Idonix's expertise in Viz scripting, the BBC are assured of the best possible solution to their demanding requirements.

BBC News Lower Thirds

November 2011

Idonix provide consultancy and training to the BBC in the development of a new suite of HD lower thirds graphics for their core news services. Using their Viz scripting skills, Idonix deliver robust transition logic to choreograph straps, tickers and dogs, and to manage the multitude of styles required by the BBC's news and current affairs programming.

Re-launch of www.ethicalconsumer.org

June 2011

With a brand new look, the site includes fully interactive buyer's guides that allow users to order company rankings based on their personal ethical stance. Idonix built the site using the DNN CMS, with the Buyer's Guides fronted with JQuery and CSS5 and backed with a RESTful web service.

Graphics Automation for the BBC's Marathon 2011 Election Coverage

May 2011

A mammoth 22 hour session of live election coverage for both BBC News at Television Centre and BBC Scotland at Pacific Quays in Glasgow. Encompassing Local Councils, Welsh Assembly, Scottish Parliament, Northern Ireland Assembly and the AV Referendum elections, and driving Brainstorm graphics in London and Viz graphics (built by Idonix) in Glasgow, all from a common IGO control system.
